I was only 16 when I started smoking. When my father got sick with heart problems I thought, “That’s going to happen to me.” One day driving down I-40, I heard a radio spot, and I called the Quitline from my cell phone right then. They were very patient and generous with me. I couldn’t afford the lozenges, so they gave them to me for free. Quitting was the best thing: I feel better, food tastes better, and I’ve saved money. I couldn’t have done it without the Quitline.
